Took a late bus 2day ..
cuz da screwdd bus took sucha long time to come

Got onto a VEH VEH crowded bus .

Chapter 2 ~{ Ayeka & Hayae }~

“C’ya!” Chika waved to Tomoko, when school was over, and they had walked together to the school gates.

“Goodbye!” Tomoko smiled at her warmly, and got into a car parked outside the school.

Chika heard Tomoko’s mother asking how was Tomoko’s day, and her friend giving off a grunt of annoyance.

Chika smiled meekly to herself and didn’t let Tomoko’s car drive away without waving at her enthusiastically. Her parent died when she was very young, thus she was entrusted to her last remaining relative, Aunt Miki.

It was only a five minute walk to her home, but somehow, it seemed to take a longer time than before. Chika was, however, too lost in thought about how lucky Tomoko was, to notice. She also did not realize there was somebody following her. A tall male dressed in a black coat was eyeing her closely, his hair was a messy blonde, and his eyes were a gentle soft blue and if you were to look at him from behind, you would see two stumps poking out from his the back of his coat.

Finally, Chika turned the corner and into her driveway. She went into the house and called out to her Aunt Miki, like she always did.

“Mimi ! I’m home ~” She cried, as she climbed the stairs to her room and frowned at her clean room.

Hayae, who had been hiding inside a tree outside her window flinched when he saw her frown, thinking that he had been seen.

“Mii!! Did you clean up my room today? I only remember where I put my stuff not where you put it. Now, I’ll never be able to find anything.”

She threw her bag down beside her bed, where she then fell on with an exhausted sigh.

She closed her eyes and promptly fell asleep. Hayae jumped from the tree and landed expertly and quietly into her room. Another girl joined Hayae shortly afterwards. She was a short and light-skinned girl, but her blue eyes had a fierce streak in them. Her hair was a simple bob blonde and extending from her back was a pair of magnificent wings, strong and elegant.

She folded her wings and knelt down beside the sleeping Chika. Her gaze was studying Chika’s face carefully, searching for something. After a long lingering moment, she lifted her hand, palm up, above Chika’s sleeping form.

“Ayeka ...” Hayae started, then abruptly stopped by Ayeka’s glare.

Ayeka unwrapped her fingers from around a pendant that she was clutching in her hand. A gold moon en-circled a round piece of polished moonstone, and a sliver chain was threaded through it.

Before anything could happen, there was a knock on the door. Chika’s eyes flew open, and she rushed to answer it.

“Chika, dear. Dinner is ready!” Aunt Miki said with a smile, making Chika roll her eyes. But she followed Aunt Miki down, anyway.

All traces of Ayeka and Hayae were gone.

Chapter 1 ~{ the moon guardian }~

Chika woke with a squeal, her hand instinctively shot up to her left cheek. It felt fine, but she had to know for sure. She jumped out of her cozy warm bed and into her bedroom toilet, the tiles cold beneath her feet.

She grasped at the sink and stared at herself in the mirror for a full minute. A pale girl, almost an albino, with lifeless smoky grey eyes and hair so blonde it looked white, stared back at her. She tugged on a length of hair cursing at her pale features. Her cheeks were fine, maybe even a little rosy, and smooth to touch.

Chika let out a long sigh, and started brushing her locks of delicate and thin hair tenderly. She pulled out a pink ribbon from a compartment behind the mirror and tied it into her hair. She knew she couldn't fall back to sleep once she had woken up, regardless of the time.

It was four on a monday morning, school started at seven.

What's a girl like me to do? Chika thought, a little annoyed at herself for having such a habit. She couldn't help but wonder what it was that made Tomoko scream when she touched her face in the dream.

"Chii-kaa ! Oh, my god !" A beautiful, slender and tan girl with bright green eyes, light freckles and thick dark brown locks yelled at Chika, beckoning her to come over.

"Tomoko ! Eek, I so missed you ..." She enveloped her into a hug, forgetting her recent nightmare. The seemed like long lost friends who havn't met for a long time but the truth was that they had only been seperated for the weekend.

Tomoko pulled apart and screwed up her eyes at Chika.

"You ... you look slightly different ..." She put a finger to her chin, pretending to think.

"Slightly different ?" Chika rolled her eyes then raised them heavenwards. "Oh, good lord !

What has happened to Tomo- "

Chika let out a gasp. Tomoko hasten to lift her gaze to the sky, and saw nothing but clouds.

"What ? What is it, Chika ?" Tomoko asked, a hint of anxiety in her voice.

Chika blinked. Once. Twice. I swore I saw a ... she thought.

"Chii ?" A carefully manicured hand waving in front of her woke Chika up from her trance.

"What is it ?" Tomoko asked worridly.

"I .. I thought a bird was gonna shit on me or somthing." Chika said dismissively, letting out a little laugh for her supposed stupidity.

Tomoko frowned. She did not see any bird but wasn't about to question her friend over this trivial matter.

"Okay, then. Nice hair. You cut it short, now didn't you? We'd better get going to class then ... Bell rings in five minutes!" Tomoko hurried off, dragging Chika with her.

What was that just now ...? Chika wondered. It looked like ... a person with wings, an angel ...?

( Insert title here ) - Prologue -

A single, lone droplet of water begins what seemed like an endless journey from the sky to what lay below .

"Aiyeee !!" Chika squealed, startling her best friend, Tomoko, who was walking beside her outside their school.
"Chii ! Oh my god ! You scared the crap outta me !" She cried, looking anxiously at her friend who had begun to slap herself lightly on her left cheek, the area where a raindrop had fallen on her. It tingled all over, and Chiko could hardly feel the slaps. She gave her cheek a harder blow, but it was still immune to feeling. But to Tomoko, however, there was already an imprint of her hand where Chiko had struck herself.

"Hell, stop it already ! You are freaking me out." Tomoko's eyes grew wide as Chiko yet again, raised her hand.

"CHII !"

Chika hesitated, then lowered her hand. She turned to face her friend, her already pale face, white as a sheet.

"Tomoko ..." Chika started. Tomoko reached out with tembling fingers to touch Chika's cheek, to comfort her. As soon as her fingers came into contact with her skin, she let out a scream.
